I have only used a laundromat once, I went in and accidentally put my blanket in a smaller washer. Not knowing there are specific washers for blankets. The small sign that indicated this was not noticeable. I was told kindly by one lady about this misconception. Then a man comes up and rudely chimes in. Input from one person would've been enough. If I had been a repeat offender I would've understood the double lecture. However, this was my first time. Not to mention I had a family member pass away that day so with that and this rude large man yelling at me I cried in my car for an hour. Maybe you should be kinder to your customers even if they make a small mistake because of not knowing proper protocol with their first visit.
Shouldn't daily cleanings alleviate that?
This is the nicest laundry mat I've ever been to in Maine. It's very big and spacious, lots of room for many people. There's also a TV area. The machines look new. The owners are a family and they're really friendly. They run the place themselves. There's also drop off laundry services. I highly recommend!!
I have never been to a laundromat before. Ever. So I was nervous for some reason haha. When I got there it was so nice and spacious inside, even when busy. There were plenty of washers and dryers and everything was so fast. There was even an arcade machine that kept my fiance busy : )
After the dog pee was cleaned up I then realized the confused woman and employee moved my laundry and put it on medium. Again, not a huge deal but I was out of quarters and my laundry had been very wet and needed to be on high temp to really dry. Hence why I had it on high. When I explained this to the employee, she looked at me with such anger and rudely proclaimed (not asked), "SO WHADDYA WANT ME TO DO?". I was floored. How about provide any semblance of customer service? How about since you were present when the switch happened and can see it's not my fault you kindly grant me access to the dryers for a bit longer so my items can actually dry as it was NO fault of mine that the confused woman you were hanging out with messed up my laundry and had her dog in there for some reason who then PEED ON ME.
Instead the employee glared at me and walked off. Then the man working there told me I should not have had the items on high anyway as it ruins the machines. Wow, super helpful to be "reprimanded" instead of assisted. I left with my wet laundry and smelling of some one else's dog pee. I will NEVER go back again and do not recommend any one utilize them. If you can go elsewhere, do otherwise you'll just be going into the dirtiest, rudest, place I've ever been in (and I went to college in North Philly).
I have no idea how or why this place has such good reviews. I went last evening to use the dryers only. I walked in to find it empty and a very odd interview going on. Choosing to ignore their strange (LOUD) conversation I put my quarters in for twenty minutes on high and left to walk my dog.
Sadly I came back and was greeted by a worker who let me know there was a woman with the man "interviewing" who was confused and put her quarters in the dryer I was using. So they moved all my items into a new dryer. Ok, no problem I thought as long as this wasn't a scheme to steal my laundry. As I waited for my items to dry I realized the ppl being interviewed actually had a dog with them that was not a service dog. He looked in bad shape and poorly cared for so I pet him. That is when he peed all over me and all over the floor. I understand it's not anyone's fault that the poor puppers had to go, but it probably shouldn't have been in there in the first place, and most customer service folks would offer some apology for the issue. Instead the man "interviewing" said don't worry about it the floor's disgusting. Why would the floor be disgusting??
Clean and supervisor present. Appears well-maintained. TV and snack machines are nice to have.
